Cellulite is nothing more than normal fat beneath the skin. The fat appears bumpy because it pushes against connective tissue, causing the skin above it to pucker.

Cellulite can occur in anyone – male or female (although more common in females), any age (usually from teenage/young adult years) and any weight. Being overweight does not cause it, however, losing weight may reduce it.

Cellulite isn’t harmful but many people wish to reduce it in order to improve the appearance of their skin.
